Just thought you all (*ahem*...Amanda) would enjoy this story, courtesy of my 3.5 yr old, Elizabeth. It's pretty good.
This past week, our lovely friend Paige came over to hang out with us. As Elizabeth and I are driving her home, we pass McDonald's. Elizabeth is in the backseat and Paige and I are in the front, trying to carry on some sort of conversation. Here's how it went:
Elizabeth: "Mommy, look! McDonald's!"
Me: "Yes, honey, I see."
Elizabeth: "I love McDonald's, Mom."
Me: "You do?" (I'm curious, b/c we rarely eat McDonald's.)
Elizabeth: "Yep, it's good. You don't like McDonald's do you Momma?"
Me: "Nope."
Elizabeth: "It makes you go poo-poo a lot, huh Momma?"
Me/Paige: Hysterical laughter and the inability to breathe
Kids say the darndest things...
