I don't have a lot to blog about, however my heart is heavy for two families. I'd like to ask you to pray for both of them.
The first are friends of ours whom we go to church with. Jeff had some infection that flared up in his knee almost 2 weeks ago. He has been in the hospital the last several days battling a mysterious fever. Please pray for this sweet family that they would find peace, healing and comfort. In addition, they they have been trying to sell their house that has been on the market for almost 2 years. Can you say stressful?
The next request is for someone whom I've never met, but my heart aches for. Jim and Adrienne adopted their first son from Russia about a year or so ago. This week, they went to meet a brand new baby girl, who they had hoped would be theirs through the birth mother's decision to relinquish rights shortly after birth. Now, birth mother is taking the time to reconsider. Either way, a mother will be heartbroken and have to heal from the hopes of a baby she will never know. Please pray for Adrienne, Jim and the baby's birth mother.
Also, we are leaving in the morning for our vacation. We will be traveling around 2,000 miles in all (there and back). All five kids plus us will be packed into Big Red. And although it has copious amounts of room, the fact still remains that we will be in the car for a LONG, LONG time. Please pray for us to have an uneventful trip and one that is blessed with visits with family and friends.
By the way, Big Red did not need those repairs I mentioned before. Thanks God for working that out for us. Also, we got birth parent permission to take both Baby D and Baby Girl!! Yay God!
I doubt I'll be able to blog while I'm gone, so miss me and have a very, very, very Blessed Thanksgiving.
